Oh, right! No, that was it.
I was, like, fourteen, or something then, and I thaught it was a cool thing to say. But he said it, like he always does when he delivers those macho guy comments, a little "tounge in cheek". You know, a little smile, slightly ironic.

That's what makes him so ultra-cool.

Yeah, that really is one of the coolest things about him, that he seems to have a relaxed attitude towards his image and the actionstardom.
Some of the other guys can come of as quite full of themselves sometimes, not mentioning any names here but... hrrrm...vandamme...*cough*... seagal...

Well Dolph was never as ambitious and eager than them, maybe because he came into the movie business "by chance", it wasn't in his plans.

Whereas Van Damme wanted to be star for a long time and did quit everything to move to L.A. and make it there.

And Seagal? Well the following article will tell you more about the man's ego. Dolph is probably has flaws like any other human being but waht's for sure is that he wouldn't not get involved in such a low story...

off topic Dolph's here among the other 80s action heroes

That actually didn't make Seagal look egotistical at all (despite the title). Actually, that is the best light anyone has ever written him in, in my opinion. He does make some good points about the case, really.

Ok look I am a HUGE Dolph fan , but to be fair to you al I have actually met Steven Segal twice now. Once through his music (he played a gig in Ipswich where I live) and once through training in the martial arts. I know his image but found him one of the most humble men I have ever had the pleasure to meet. He is very calm and softly spoken (almost shy) I got his autogrpah and photo taken. So whilst I appericate how his sometimes comes accross - never judge a book by its cover.

Sure, a friend of mine used to be his assistant for a year, said SS is not a bad person but can be such an asshole sometimes, at least as a boss (plus he made him work insane hours with very few days off every two or three months). The man has a great martial arts background but I'm not sure he trains much anymore but he's practices Buddhism a lot...

He still trains a great deal trust me, I have seen him recently do a 5 man attack and not one of the 5 were able lay a hand on him. He is a 8th Dan grandmaster in Aikido - there are not many people on this planet better in the Aikido discipline.

Having said all that though like anyone else on this planet I bet him can be a bit of an arse!

That doesn't much in terms of training because this is almost like riding a bike this is something you don't forget once you master your craft, especially in Aikido since you don't use your own strength (but the opponent's) you don't need to be in physical shape to demonstrate... but anyway we're getting a little off-topic here...
