Writing a Dolph-homage screenplay...

Postby Jack Caine on 02 Feb 2009, 06:17

I'm currently working on a screenplay for a 15-minute movie which is a big homage to Dolph. The main plot is that the hero is an assassin under gov't branch contract with a partner, who has that "quitting job" syndrome, but hero disagrees until the organization gets him to kill an innocent political figure--then he decides to target the organization w/ some help from his partner because they're the true bad guys. So far the total homages I have are:

>Punisher - hero in black
>Silent Trigger - hero is an assassin
>Joshua Tree - big shootout with two diff. guns
>The Mechanik - semi-revenge plot
>My brother looks like a young Dolph

Do you guys have any other ideas for homages to Dolph films that I could include in this?
"I come in peace!"
"But you go in pieces, a**hole!"

I got a couple more, and unlike yours, the relate to more than one film:
-Is Heavily into religion: The Minion, Johnny Mnemonic, Missionary Man
-Defeats/kills villains in masse, despite having both arms/legs tied up: Storm Catcher, Sweepers, Red Scorpion, The Punisher, Showdown in Little Tokyo, and Army of One.
"Loosly translated... out of the frying pan and boned up the ass with a red hot poker."
-Showdown In Little Tokyo
