Dolph Lundgren, Stallone battle for career comeback in 'The Expendables'
http://www.winnipegfreepress.com/entert ... 48889.html
"We were talking the other day in L.A. and I said to him, 'Look Sly, people are excited about this movie, a lot of people who wouldn't talk to me a month ago would say, 'Hey Dolph, I'm really excited about your movie, congratulations,' " Lundgren says from a rooftop patio during a promotional stop in Toronto.
"And he's like, 'Yeah, I remember. I was the fourth lead in "Spy Kids 3" opening in Austin.' He said, '(I thought) that's the end, it's over.' "

"You have to create your own destiny to some extent," says Lundgren, who's also turned to directing in recent years.
"But I think in this case it was the right time because now we've gone through the whole cycle where even the people who said, 'Oh, that guy is a loser, he's gotten old,' (are now saying) 'Yeah, it's kind of cool, he's still around. Yeah, I want to see him on film again.' So that's where we are now, I guess."

Swedish interview, some good insights it seems

Yeez. Dolph really let´s the producers of Icarus have it.
He is basically saying, and I quote:
"Those f***ers screwed me from the start. I should never have made that movie. That (meaning the film) is not my work. Not my cut..."

You SUCK Cinetel!

Rare to have Dolph being this upset in public. They must have screwed him big time.

Good interview really. The person asking the questions goes beyond the usual stuff.
Dolph goes on after his "cinetel rant" to say the his next directorial effort will be "when I will show off everything I have learned, hopefully with a bigger budget".
Cool!

Yeah Dolph took the ICARUS experience/nightmare pretty hard, he was really pissed off about it even before they re-cut it (when I saw him on the EXPENDABLES set) and later he wanted to remove his director credit off the movie... He's seen it all in his career of 25 years but that one was one of the worst and because he was the director there was more shit on his shoulders and he took it more personally I guess.

Dolph looks so tired again. just the way he did after the whole "Melodifestivalen" song contest. GOD loves u D. kiss kiss XOXO.
i love seeing D & Sly together - i love it. i love watching them laugh and try to have fun at interviews.
Sheesh, they worked so hard accepting interviews, answering questions, being friendly, keeping a smile on their faces. GOD bless them.

Yes, as long as Dolph basks in the warm light of GOD he'll be all right. Sometimes GOD makes the interviewer ask silly questions, but luckily GOD then makes Dolph answer the question in a good and GOD-like way. GOD, thank GOD that you help Dolph GOD his way out of un-GOD-like situations.

P.S. GOD

That IS a good one. Just throwing in a couple of fresh questions makes it so much more fun because, in general, all these interviews contain the same five questions (and answers) over and over again.
