Very interesting photo of Dolph

Postby Travis on 21 Jan 2010, 11:34

I haven't seen this posted before but I find it very interesting. Not sure when it was taken but it looks airbrushed or something because it looks too good to be true.

If I would go down to the gym in the outfit that DL is wearing in that picture I would be beaten and/or molested. :D

I have seen that photo before, but that is a much higher quality than the one I've seen. It does look re-touched to some degree.

It has to be retouched. I looked through the other photos in the gallery and the guys look way more buff than in real life.

That's probably Ben or Joe Weider's wife. The Weider's were synonymous with bodybuilding in America. They sponsored guys like Arnold Schwarzenegger and Franco Columbu when they first came to the country. Flex and Muscle and Fitness magazine were their flagships, they put on the Mr. Olympia contest for a while. Dolph for some reason or another made nice with the Weiders, being featured on the cover of their Muscle and Fitness a good 3-4 times for Rocky IV, Masters of the Universe and Showdown In Little Tokyo. I have the issues around somewhere... I think Dolph is just on the gear in that photo. He looks so bloated and squared off, a common look with "steroids" or whatever you want to call them.
