You notably learn that following ROCKY IV, Dolph got hired by ABC as a commentator on the Sugar Ray Leonard vs. Marvin Hagler fight and interviewed both of them. Seems it was Hagler vs Mugabi rather:

I think D's English here is quite good... I don't know why Goddard insisted on dubbing his lines for MOTU. He's still understandable in this clip, much more so than JCVD is even today!

I don't know why Goddard insisted on dubbing his lines for MOTU.

I don't know if it was just Goddard who wanted it (Mattel, producers etc), what I think may have needed more work to be improved was his diction (yet he had a coach), he's kinda mumbling sometimes, and apparently the average american can't understand him (I've seen this comment so many times). Goddard told me he was perfect during rehearsals but somehow always took a different tone while the cameras were rolling.
