Director Jim Jarmusch (DEAD MAN, GHOST DOG, THE DEAD DON'T DIE...) shared his love for Dolph in Filmmaker Magazine, 1996 interview 8)
https://filmmakermagazine.com/107829-en ... -dead-man/
Filmmaker: As you get older, are you still finding films that turn you on as much as stuff did that you encountered in your 20s?

Jarmusch: It continues to happen. I didn’t discover Ophuls until eight years ago and I had to see every one of his films. But I go through periods, like I had to see every film Steve McQueen was in. I don’t know why, but it had to be Steve McQueen. I go off on binges. Could be Brigitte Bardot, could be Dolph Lundgren. But I don’t think I’ve seen every film Dolph has been in.

Filmmaker: Have you seen many of them?

Jarmusch: Yeah, of those guys—Jean-Claude Van Damme, Steven Seagal and Dolph Lundgren—I prefer Dolph.

Filmmaker: Why?

Jarmusch: Van Damme I find annoying. There’s something smug about his face. I like how Dolph Lundgren is so robotic. He doesn’t pretend to have to play a character that has some emotional dilemma.

I didn't exactly know where to put that, but here's an interesting article about PM Entertainment, quickly mentioning Dolph about the changes of straight to video movies during the 90's. Nice interviews along the article (with honest insight from Steve Williams for example).

Yes ... I mean, not this exact frame, but the character is Lobo, a rogue space bounty hunter. He's a "fun" and vulgar character, in the vein of RanXerox. He sometimes appear in Superman's adventures. He was supposed to be played by Dwayne Johnson a couple of years ago. There was brief talk for a web series some months back. He's a bit WTF, but very funny and likeable (for a comic character I mean). He always aknowledges pop culture.
