The Japanese manga creators of FIST OF THE NORTH STAR (Hokuto-no-ken) said that the character Falco is based on Dolph.
(thanks to Ringy for the heads up!)

A fine French Dolph fan pointed out to me that Dolph is quotes in the last season of the series CASTLE, and that one of the candidates of L'AMOUR EST DANS LE PRE ("love is in the meadow", never-ending reality tv show here where they try to match peasants) responded 'Dolph Lundgren' as her model/idea of a perfect man.

If you could / wished to turn Fish Wielder and the Fish Wielder series into a movie, who would be your dream team?
"I would love to have Dolph Lundgren play Thoral Mighty Fist, but not today’s Dolph. I want the same young Dolph Lundgren who played He Man in the 1987 Masters of the Universe movie to play Thoral."
- J.R.R.R. (Jim) Harrison author of fantasy novel Fish Wielder

In the tv comedy "Fresh off the boat" S02E22(about an asian american family moving from Wahsington DC to Florida) there's an episode where a kid hide VHS under his parents matress, consisting of Kickboxer, Cyborg and MOTU.

This was before the days of Photoshop, the French VHS cover (made from a MOTU still) of SAMSON AND DELILAH (1987) an indonesian production with an Australian muscleman (Paul Hay)

Vern on Dolph's UNIVERSAL SOLDIER appearance in Kevin Costner's POSTMAN
http://outlawvern.com/2017/02/07/the-postman/
They have a movie projector, so they do at least get some entertainment at night. I don’t really get what Costner is trying to say with this, but of course I have to love the random scene where UNIVERSAL SOLDIER comes on. The men are outraged and throw rocks at the projection booth until the projectionist puts on their preferred movie, THE SOUND OF MUSIC.

I wonder what their problem is with Dolph? Personally I like both movies. (They later allow him to show his print of SHE WORE A YELLOW RIBBON.)
