You can spot Kenji Yamaki from THE PUNISHER, maybe Hirofumi Kanayama although I'm less certain, and Shokei Matsui who became the youngest world champion in 1987, succeeded the 100-man kumite test, and is now one of the heads of Kyokushin Karate since master Oyama's passing in 1994...

So I'm not sure if it's right before or after the filming of THE PUNISHER (when he did promo for RED SCORPION in Japan during the winter 1988-89), a couple of months away from the production of DARK ANGEL...
