As he returned to his home dojo in Stockholm, Dolph was just given his 4th Dan by his long-time mentor of 45+ years, Brian Fitkin. 8)

Never-seen video (filmed in 16mm?) from a fight at the 1979 Kyokushinkai British Open (aka European Championships).

Notice the win with a hiza geri (knee kick) which was one of Lundgren's "specialty" and is not authorised in karate competitions other than Kyokushin...

1981 The GB/Euro Open final fight between Shihan Mac Robertson and Sensei Dolph Lundgren in Crystal Palace. After a brutal fight where Shihan Mac suffered a broken sternum Sensei Dolph took the win. An Epic battle from 2 legends.

Dolph wrote a foreword for the book THE BUDO KARATE OF MAS OYAMA by Cameron Quinn (2021 new edition) that you can read here:

A never-seen "vintage" fight from the Team Kumite Final of the Swedish championships, 1980

(Looks like it's a point fighting competition, not Kyokushin)

Brian Fitkin re-printed an updated edition of his "KYOKUSHIN KATA" book initially published in 2003, in which Dolph Lundgren performs two advanced katas (see image right below).

(Hans) Lundgren was already featured in Fitkin's 1982 "THE FUNDAMENTALS OF KYOKUSHIN KARATE".
