No new website yet, but there's a newsletter from Dolph on his website, keeping us posted on the next projects ahead!!!

Apparently he wrote last week before the MM Dallas screening (which by the way seems to have been mainly for the cast & crew plus the Texas film commission)...

I won't spoil it for you and let you read it yourself and we can discuss it afterwards. I'm sure it will make you pretty excited!

There's nothing that can stop him now!

One of those projects screams Walter Hill to me! I hope everyone on the boards hurries up and reads it, so we can get chatting away on it. I don't as yet want to spoil the suprise for anyone either.

I know... I became a real die hard one right before the upswing, so I didn't have to rely on his late 90's crap!

Dolph also said he's looking at other scripts- who knows, one of them might be Terminator 4  .

I like the idea of Dolph doing a bare knuckle boxing film set in Rio, sounds excellent. If it's gonna be one of Dolph's non-directing gigs, then he should get Walter Hill. An action specialist, and experienced director who can help Dolph on the acting side.

Icarus should be superb though, written and directed by Dolph, and having him as the bad guy again. Sounds like one of the rumoured projects he had pre-MM. My only concern, is that the film can only work if there's a star as big, or bigger than Dolph, in the lead. It has to be a known actor really, unless they unearth some new star who's a really good actor (unlikely in that budget range and studio type). Also as much as I'd like an action star to take the lead opposite Dolph, the movie might work better if they get an "actor" to play the role. Guys like Rutger Hauer, Brad Dourif, Eric Roberts, or some younger equivilants, could add weight to the roles. Though JCVD and Wesley Snipes would be good compromises.

Actually who knows, the way I read it was he didn't specify whether or not he would direct the Brazilian project. And if, he was saying "develop" in business terms it then means he's either co-writing or supervising the writing of the script from a story of his (and is most likely to produce it as well)... But Walter Hill would be awesome, an old-school action director who can deliver especially on bare fist fights...

Hey that sounds really interesting - if there is one thing I would like to see its Dolph as a bad guy again, even if he never makes another movie again.

I don't want to sound too pessimistic again but until it's confirmed I won't take "Tokyo Suckerpunch" more seriously than a rumor, and plus it's been on Tobey Maguire's shelf for years already.

BUT, if this is in negotiations for Dolph to appear in, we're talking about a studio Hollywood movie here, so things can take time, and plus might be more delicate to disclose so Dolph wouldn't mention it until it's a done deal or until he's on the set...

"Johnny Pneumonic" - sense of humour or senility?

Hope it is the first one...

Or is that a jocose way of referring to that movie that everyone is using anyway?

Whatever,

I wish all of you a merry christmas and a big package.

What? That could be interpreted in a sexual way?
How should I know, I'm just a stupid german girl...

Sure hope there will be new Dolph movies. Good ones.
