Ultimate Dolph

I've mentioned this before, but due to IMDB's wieghted average system, I urge people not to go too crazy on the 10 ratings for MM. Already there's a disproportionate amount of 10 ratings. Even though it's gonna rock, I have to warn people, that voting 10 too much, will actually LOWER the overall rating. Because of ballot stuffing, the wieghted average looks at vote distribution etc, and knocks off points. This is particularly evident in films with fewer than 1000 votes. Beyond that the system begin's to assume there 10's are more valid. This doesn't help Dolph films, because more are under 1000 votes.

I would suggest that if you really like the film, vote 8 or 9. At the moment MM's IMDB rating is 4.8 (only 21 votes so it will probably go up), but the actual mathematical average is 7.9, so it's lost a whole 3 marks because of ballot stuffing (or what the system assumes is ballot stuffing). It's not very clear the whole IMDB system. I can only suggest that all of us on these boards, to compensate for the rest of the net Dolphers or enthused action aficianodos, AVOID, voting 10.

MM should probably be Dolph's highest IMDB rating. I'd hope that by the time he get's well up past the 500 vote mark, he'll be in the 6's at least. The Mechanik suffered from too many 10 ratings.
The trouble is as well, IMDB is such a wide and varied tool, that DVD sales, or other things, might suffer, regarding MM.

I don't think people heard you, out of 225 votes, 60 are of "10". Oddly enough, with less votes, DD currently has a better average rating than MM...
