This is getting a lot more PR, reviews and attention than any D solo efforts for a while.

giving us a potential career best performance from Lundgren as a distraught father
... what it delivers is solid entertainment, thrilling action and with the almost real-time setting against a ticking clock, some nail-biting tension broken up with some comic moments.

The performances from both Adkins and Lundgren are applaudable, packed with emotion, while providing enough bone-crunching beatdowns, and shoot-outs to keep action fans happy.

Finished the film up. I enjoyed it. It’s not gonna blow anyone away with its action but it was cool that it spent a lot of time building up Scott and Dolph’s characters so that you had an invested interest in them throughout the movie.

Wish the villains had some more intensity to them. They’re sort of pedestrian. But it’s fun to see Adkins and Lundgren share the screen and reluctantly team up. For that reason it worked for me.

I just found out that David Rosengren (Caste Falls' composer, half of The Lost Poets, and a friend of Dolph) passed away last summer :( (I was looking for soundtrack snippet on his IG page).

Castle Falls is in the 2021 top 10 Martial Arts movies of Tae Kwon Do Life Magazine. The number one is well deserved.

Well I watched the movie on the 1st day of the release and I didn't want to spoil and influence another people with my word. It is a sympathetic little movie and do not expect something over the top from it. For the budget it have they spend it right. Scott and Dolph played good their parts mostly separate from each other during rhe movie. They meet actually at he end of the 2nd act and do not share many scenes together. This is not Mechanik (2005) the directorial debut of Lundgren which I still consider his best directed movie. Chemistry between Dolph and Cross was bigger and they formed kind of emotional relationship during the movie. Here 2 heroes meet for 30 minutes (for real) and that is it. What I missed was what happened with Dolph daughter - did those money help, are (Scott and Dolph) characters still talking with each other or just shared the money and everyone go to his way. Maybe we'll find this on Blu Ray coming edition in deleted scenes section. Music is good, cinematography supportive cast plays OK believable *(NOT FAKE). I kind of doubt that Scott character can become a friend with a guy who gave an apple and u just talk for 2 days on construction area. Scott was egoistic when he found the money and didn't say a word to him, told him that he forget his jacket and he is not going with him to the bar anymore and went back on construction area (like a rat) to steal the money. When the guy on his bad luck also went back to the hospital and got killed by bad guys Scott character felt guilty and gave a part of money to his family.Strange to me. Also a lot of police was around and nobody heard gun shots. It looked they have a silencer but the noise made wasn't close to that. Part science fictional story when u have so many press, police and people from the city hall al around. What is the moral of all this story between the lines ?
As an action movie for a Friday night after work while drinking a beer is very enjoyable, turn off your brain and logic and have fun by action.
PS. Funny thing LUNDGREN CONSTRUCTION SERVICE sign on the gate of the hospital
