On this day 10 years ago (already!), Dolph, Jenny S. and I drove 3 hours away from Sofia (and what a surreal "horror movie-like" ride it was) to the Devetashka caves where scenes were being shot over two days (one of which --a short shoot out coming out of the plane-- was deleted / see last image below).

It was surreal in so many ways other than being on set for an EXP movie... It was so foggy and moody that it kind of felt like a circus stopping by a cold, moody place out in the middle of nowhere.

10 years past away and many things changed- Sanders is gone and Dolph is still playing the EX. Jox did u have the chance to watch the workprint of EX 2. To me it was disappointed that Van Damme was cut so short as a villain, his character was almost gone in the entire movie... It is good that tennis player was cut from the movie, looked more like a parody than action movie and have some lack of integrity as a whole thing. Sniper was killed - serious tone and n then acting in some parts is like a comedy and doesn't fit well. One is dead and the rest are laughing, weird...

Forgot to mention experiencing running lines with Gunnar Jensen in "live action 4D" and how powerful he'd looking at you when in character.

I did not, and I don't think that Dolph has either...

All the actors except for Sly and Statham got cut very short compared to what was filmed.
But regarding JCVD, sometimes making sure he shows up on set and on time was a problem that messed up the shooting schedule of the day, so I wouldn't be surprised if his screen time wasn't reduced because of that as well. On the other hand the few times he's on screen he makes his presence very effective...

I remember I was passing by near an entartainment centre. I saw some big banner at the wall. I was shocked to see so many names in one movie banner. I was already away from 90s action genre then. EX was the reason I started to interest action again.

I think Van Damme wasn't on set more than 10 days or 2 weeks with weekends. The same as Dolph on Tracker :D
