Interview: David A.R. White Talks A Line of Fire

What do you have coming up that you’re able to talk about?

We just finished shooting a movie called Straight Shot and that’s a fun romp with Dolph Lundgren and Tyrese Gibson and Rachel Leigh Cook and William Forsythe, a bunch of other people, too. That’s a fun one. That’s a whole different type of movie but it’s a full on action movie as well. It’s less of a thriller. It’s more of an action movie.

It’s funny about Dolph. I met him last year. He’s such a soft spoken, quiet guy, isn’t he? You think he’s going to be this larger-than-life action star, but he’s just like this normal nice guy…

Super nice guy. Yeah, he was great. I mean, I just love working with him and hope to do it again.

There are 45 pictures, quite a few with Dolph here:

I glean a certain quirkyness from some of these pics. Makes me think this could be half decent. Depends on the leading man and director though. And it not being horrendously cheap looking.

EXCLUSIVE: Pinnacle Peak Pictures’ Ron Gell arrives in Berlin with an EFM sales slate featuring Oscar-nominee Ethan Hawke and two new titles under the wide-appeal Panoramic Pictures subsidiary – Dolph Lundgren and Rachael Leigh Cook action thriller Straight Shot and sci-fi Zoners with Christopher Lambert.

Straight Shot also stars Pinnacle Peak co-founder David A.R. White (A Line Of Fire, God’s Not Dead franchise) and Tyrese Gibson (Fast And The Furious franchise) and follows a bodyguard past his prime who fights through a skyscraper full of mercenaries to save his ex-fiancée trapped inside an experimental coffin.

Lundgren’s credits include Rocky IV, The Expendables franchise, and Universal Soldier, while Cook has starred in She’s All That, Josie And The Pussycats, and Get Carter. The film screens in the market from Thursday through Sunday. Gabriel Sabkloff directed.
“With audience favorites such as Steve Zahn, Ethan Hawke, David A.R. White, Dolph Lundgren, Rachael Leigh Cook and Christopher Lambert starring in our films, we are looking forward to a successful EFM,” said Gell.

Looks not half bad actually. Shows some ambition and a sort of heightened, quirkyness.
Way above my initial expectations. And Dolph is always a blast chewing scenery in Villian roles.

Indeed but he's done it so many times in the past 15 years that it almost kind of cancels itself out somehow (if I'm making any sense)...
