AFM: 'War Pigs' Goes to Cinedigm

The WWII action film stars Mickey Rourke, Dolph Lundgren and Luke Goss

Cinedigm has taken North American rights to War Pigs, a WWII actioner featuring veteran tough guys Mickey Rourke and Dolph Lundgren, from VMI Worldwide.

Ryan Little, the director of 2013 WWII drama Saints and Solidiers, helmed War Pigs. The plot has a rag-tag group of misfits on a secret raiding mission behind enemy lines to find and capture a secret weapon being developed by Adolf Hitler and the SS.

Luke Goss (Hellboy II), Noah Segan (Looper) and UFC fighter Chuck Liddell co-star.

Cinedigm plan to release War Pigs theatrically next Spring. VMI has also sold the title to multiple international territories, including to Klockworx in Japan, Signature Entertainment in the U.K., Program Store in France and Rialto Pictures for Australia.

VMI Worldwide President Andre Relis is producing War Pigs with Steven Luke, who also penned the screenplay. Wayne Marc Godfrey and David Gilbery of U.K.-based finance firm The Fyzz serve as executive producers. War Pigs Is VMI's third production, following Blood of Redemption in 2012, which also starred Lundgren, and the crime thriller Wicked Blood featuring Sean Bean and Abigail Breslin in 2013.

Impressive stuff, those are actually better than some of the TE3 posters.

These are better than most large scale Hollywood one sheets. No excessive airbrushing and no obviously photo shopped heads.

Great news about the international sales, and very nice character posters.

A little surprisingly this has become my most anticipated Dolph movie (aside from Skintrade of course).

Don't worry, it always starts with a few deals to begin with, they never sell all territories right away (and the AFM has just started 2-3 days ago)! Germany usually buys Dolph's titles pretty easily.

It looks like someone's done a freeze frame half way through the face melting shot in Raiders Of The Lost Ark.

It wouldn't surprise me if his face was actually partly paralyzed due to all those surgeries.

I wonder what accent he's gonna go for, then. I think a lot of Hollywood actors end up with quite comical versions of a french accent., let's hope they come up with something that sounds good!
