RED SCORPION will be screened on 35mm in a Dolph special night where I (yours truly) will be a guest speaker and will present the film, talk about Dolph and show trailers (in 35mm from my collection), videos etc!

The owner Don May Jr posted a quick preview of the infamous flame thrower scene cut on the DVD (and in the orginal aspect ratio 1.85:1)

Here are 3 clips of my introduction (don't mind the few technical issues, plus even their microphone didn't work)

By the way Dolph's complete greeting video shall be up soon

That was neat to see RED SCORPION again on the big screen. I was 10 when I originally saw it and was alone in the theater! It reminded me how great and better a film is on the big screen in 35. The 22 year-old print had flaws at times but perfect at others. Made me rediscover some shots, even after 25 or 30 viewings on video... Disappointing thing is that it reminded me and confirmed my memories, that the French theatrical version was 10 or 15 mins shorter, notably a lot of great scenes with the bushman, so it doesn't make much sense when it cuts to these scenes like the one about the sandals (when we haven't seen them walking and him having trouble bare feet)...

It was also great to watch a few of my own 35mm trailers projected for the first time since I bought them: Unisol, SILT, I Come In Peace and the MOTU teaser...

Note that this video was delivered to us by Dolph fully edited.

I believe that the exclusive workout footage at the beginning was shot during the photo sessions for his fitness book.

The upcoming Blu-ray edition should include a little booklet with liner notes that I wrote for the occasion and were just approved. Hopefully more goodies and surprises to come from what should be a definitive and kick ass edition! 8) (release date yet to be announced)
