Award Winning Producer Chad A. Verdi Strikes Gold at AFM with His Latest Film, War Pigs
Cinedigm acquires North American rights, plans spring theatrical release; Mickey Rourke and Dolph Lundgren headline in film
New York, NY - Point Roberts, WA - November 19, 2014 (Investorideas.com Newswire) Investorideas.com, a global news source covering leading sectors including entertainment reports on the following breaking entertainment news, ‘Award winning producer Chad A Verdi's strikes gold at AFM with his latest featured film, War Pigs'.
Verdi Productions producer Chad A. Verdi told Investor Ideas that Cinedigm acquired North American rights and plans a spring 2015 theatrical release. The film stars Mickey Rourke and Dolph Lundgren. Ryan Little, the director of 2013 WWII drama Saints and Soldiers, helmed War Pigs. The plot has a ragtag group of misfits on a secret mission behind enemy lines to find and capture a secret weapon being developed by Adolf Hitler and the SS. Luke Goss (Hellboy II), Noah Segan (Looper) and UFC fighter Chuck Liddell also co-star. Cinedigm plans to release War Pigs theatrically next spring.
Verdi stated, "VMI has also sold the title to multiple international territories, including to Klockworx in Japan, Signature Entertainment in the U.K., Program Store in France and Rialto Pictures for Australia."
Verdi added, "My wife Michelle and I are very excited about this film and we have huge box- office expectations."

I was actually thinking, given the pitch and the way they're hyping it on Facebook and hinting they're considering including rock songs, that this is definitely not gonna be a film that takes itself very seriously and probably less than Ryan Little's previous WW2 films (but this is not his pet project, but young producer Steven Luke's)...
