I always felt as If "Red Scorpion" was in a way Dolphs version of Rambo, in the same way "Missing in Action" and "Commando" were for Chuck and Arnie. God I loved the "1 man army" flicks of the 80's

And it was very much conceived as such, it's no coincidence they hired Joseph Zito for the job, as he had helmed two of Chuck Norris / Cannon most successful films, MISSING IN ACTION and INVASION USA! He and the Abramoff brothers thought RED SCORPION would launch Dolph in the stardom sphere of Norris or even Schwarzenegger (especially since Warner Bros was set to release the movie before they got out of the deal and even denied when the controversies started).

Just visited the Synapse Films website, and there's still no mention of RED SCORPION... not even on their "Coming Soon" category... What's even more interesting is that their other upcoming releases... FrankenHooker and Maniac Cop are listed as being released December 31, 2013...

That's because those titles don't have set dates yet, and they won't put up RS until the restoration and artwork is completely done. Don't worry mate it's in the work as we speak and Dolph already gave an interview for the extras (thanks to yours truly for playing the middleman)!!

My favorite Swedish dinner would be baby seal and whale ass in the summer. But I'd really die for some Chinese."

Yeah... I'm pretty sure Synapse's US cover will be better and way more tasteful!

Some screenshots have turned up from what is believed to be a Russian HDTV broadcast.
