People might start thinking that Neil Patrick Harris is in the movie, starring as Barney Stinson. (his catchphrase for those who don't know, is "legendary")

Hahahah! Well Neil Patrick Harris actually was in a big monster movie like this but it was none other than... Paul Verhoeven's STARSHIP TROOPERS!

Here's the new artwork/key art (for Cannes probably):

Well the artwork is a bit Meh. It's better than some of Dolph's recent stuff. Not having Adkins or Dolph appear on the cover could be a bit of a marketing mistake possibly. The names are there, but you'd think there'd be pictures too.

Perhaps I'm the only who feels this way, but the whole title, "Legendary" is pretty meh... Not only that, but a mediocre movie about high school wrestling called LEGENDARY came out a few years ago (starring John Cena). The creature of the film has to have some kind of ancient name... Why not title it that? Sort of like "Godzilla." Overall, I'm not too psyched about the film, but the title could certainly be reworked to build at least some excitement...

It works kind of as a teaser and is typical of what you see in markets. Don't worry I'm sure whoever releases it on DVD & BD will make sure their faces is on there!

No you're not the only one, it's a TERRIBLE title just like like TOMB OF THE DRAGON, or worse both attached...

"Tomb of the Dragon" is not a bad title. It is general enough that people would understand what the movie is about.

"Legendary" makes no sense as a title for this movie, but what would make even less sense is to name it after whatever they'll call the creature in the film. Let's say they decide that the dragon's name is "Kruxor", how many tickets do you think the name "Kruxor" will sell? "Godzilla! works because it's name that's been built up over decades to be one of the biggest creature names in the world.

I suddenly realise I didn't post my first reaction on the "teaser" thing.
Well, it's not made for a foreign audience or an "civil" audience, that's for sure, but I'm not that scared of the movie. We'll see descent CGIS (the bear is well made, and the dragon doesn't seems to be finished at the time of the teaser), some nice landscape (I hope at least) and it should have a nice rythm.
The chinese aspect scares me a little bit but we'll see.

Of course, but it's just cheesy as hell. Thing is we wouldn't even pay this movie attention or know about it if it wasn't for Dolph or Scott.

The LEGENDARY part comes from the initial series concept that they would make 6 movies about different supposedly extinct or fictional creatures so the next movie would be LEGENDARY: CURSE OF THE KOMODO or whatever. I don't know if they'll make the other movies. Though that still doesn't explain why LEGENDARY... Legendary creatures I guess... hummm. Whatever.

They should have gone for more mysterious. Like what I always compare this to is the Korean movie THE HOST. There you would have had a cool kinda realistic monster movie if that was made in the same vein. (and I'm not even a fan of THE HOST but it sure was much more interesting, well made and original not to mention R-rated)

Haha, that's true for almost all of their movies. If they starred Lorenzo Lamas I wouldn't really care about them.

"The Host" is a good title, it describes exactly what that movie is about in an efficient way.

"Legendary" doesn't describe anything in particular. Unless of course there's a follow up title like "Legendary: Tomb Of The Dragon."

Personally I always liked titles like "Joshua Tree" and "I come in peace" because they're different from the usual "Direct Action"/"The Killing Machine" bullshit, but I realize that for a low budget action movie starring Dolph Lundgren the producers want a name that'll let the fans know what they're getting.

Bryan Adams! Oh yeah. Should I be ashamed to admit that I love a bit of BA? That said, his 80's and early 90's stuff.
The soundtrack of this film will be the standout by far I think.
