Also showcased by GFM at the market is 3D family adventure Legendary, starring Dolph Lundgren.

Lundgren will be in Cannes to meet distributors. Several territories have already been pre-sold, among them Germany (Telepool) and France (First Independent). The film was made as a China/UK coproduction.

Well ... nice landscapes and locations, nice production values (some shots are quite nice). Seems quite okay.

The trailer looks decent, but it is weird that Dolph is second fiddle to Scott Adkins.

Scott is cheaper, so they can afford to hire him for a longer time.

Looks quite good. Wonderful landscapes and the monster shots look good, too. I love that cliché shoulder look Dolph has in the last scene of the trailer. The movie seems to be a string of monster movie clichés but what the heck, as long as it delivers!

This trailer is trying hard to change my mind. I absolutely hate CGI creature movies, I think they are appalling and whilst the monsters look like the usual in terms of Hollywood grizzlies, (is it me or is there just always something fake about them like they are too shiny and move too fast...) the actual look of the film looks pretty good, it's 50/50 - some shots look very digital and amateurish and other shots you'd be forgiven for thinking they were from a larger production - always the same with these DTV movies, (e.g. One in the Chamber) but I gotta say that I may enjoy parts of this and Dolph looks like he is playing a character he has never played before so that is always a bonus.

Let me just say that for a Dolph movie this trailer looks very good in terms of over all production value. This does by no means indicate that the movie will be any good... but just saying. It looks and seems so much more a real movie than action DTVs like The Package (a movie I have not seen, just comparing trailers)
But the CG is far from top notch. It may work ok if used wisely.

Looks a bit like a better produced SyFy Channel movie of the week. Hopefully it'll be some fun though.

Compare it the latest Mark Lester's foray into directing and you'll see the CGI aren't bad and the production value are very good. It's just not a $150 million movie though (for which I think the CGI throw you out of the films even more btw IMO), can't expect miracles.
