According to this interview, the budget was.... 1.5 millions $

Although it doesn't say if it's the entire budget or just "below the line", I figured it probably wasn't more than that.

If WANTED MAN finally gets made as it was announced, it will probably be a slightly bigger budget.

The reviews are looking good and the budget isn't too bad either, but I definitely hope Malevolence has a slightly higher one. Can't wait to watch this, although I'm still hoping on a Dutch release

I think MALEVOLENCE is done. Best we can hope for is WANTED MAN, which looks to be finally getting off the ground (been gestating for a long time, even more than MALEVOLENCE).

Reviews and interviews are reassuring. It's nice to see that Dolph was "energized" by the small budget and that he has "total" freedom as a director.

Yes, it's good see the good reviews, and that he seems to kick off a new wave of directorial projects.

I’ve only directed so many movies. So I hadn’t directed for 10 years when I did this. I’m kind of into that now. I’ve got another picture I’m trying to put together for early next year.

And trivia-wide, again it's a kind of one-location set piece like THE DEFENDER and COMMAND PERFORMANCE were... (Don't know if we should read into it)
