Yeah, just this morning I thought about what a shame it was that the iconic scene with him, Arnie and Bruce was so weak. A half assed one-liner for Arnie and a scene that was clearly squeezed in just for the sake of having the Action Gods in the movie. Hope they return, and this time with better dialogue. And a better one-liner. God, am I happy that these days it's "The Return of the 80's One-Liners"! Yippie yahyey, key! (Or something like that)

Really? I was one of the few who wasn't excited about the 3 stars reunion (and even less after the scenes was in every trailer and tv spot) and was pleasantly surprised, I thought it was actually very well written and shot for a 2 mins scene that was added and filmed 2-3 months after the rest of the movie. Could have been much much worse and out of place.

according to a recent interview JCVD is waiting for the script of TE2, hes basically 75% in the film, all thats left is a contract to be signed. If Sly, Bruce, Dolph, and JC are all in this film for sure, then arnies prescence wont be missed as much

The article still seems based on the already known fact that Sly wanted him in the sequel but we'll probably have some confirmations on the cast soon.

JCVD thought he was too good for TE 1 so I don't need him in part 2.

So you're not set in stone for the sequel of The Expendables?

No, because they haven't locked everybody yet. I don't know the schedule, and I have a couple of other things going on, but they just signed a director about two weeks ago... so it's not clear yet. But from what I hear, it's going to shoot in September. I think it's in France and China.

If he's not in I will be *so* pissed. He has to be back and Sly would be wise to give him a bigger part.

If he's in, I'll manage to take some time off work to travel around france to the shooting location.

Don't worry, he just doesn't want to say before it's officially set and signed (and they don't tell him much yet because there still seems to be a lot up in the air). But Sly adores him, and there's no way they would get rid of (one of) the most appreciated and praised characters from the original. ;)

That'd be cool if part of it was shot in France!

JCVD is in!!
http://www.today.az/news/entertainme...medium=twitter

TAZ: Some time ago you turned down an offer from Sylvester Stallone to star in his star-overloaded action blockbuster “The Expendables”. According to the media, and numerous reports it was because you did not like the character you were supposed to portray. As of now, “The Expendables 2” is among the most awaited films of the year. Looking back, do you regret your choice?

JCVD: I will be in Expendables 2, I would have loved to be in part one as well, but my schedule didn't permit it.
