The sound is obviously not finished in this trailer which I bet was cut months ago. I think it's not shown in intended ratio either, try to crop it in 2.35 in VLC it looks pretty good!

That looks absolutely fantastic for a trailer off the workprint. Does Rourke play a time traveller? His hair looks ridiculous.

I guess Rourke is... Rourke... ;)
(I just saw he's done another surgery since then and looks even more creepy if that was possible)

That's a pretty cool cover. I always find the UK dvd covers the best looking when it comes to DTV movies, regardless of distributor.

It's also interesting to see which stars they put front and center in all the different markets. For the UK It's all Dolph, you can barely see Rourke, when in the film market ads for buyers they put Rourke in front.

I somehow have a feeling that for the US release Rourke will be more prominent.

They even put Dolph twice! This one pretty good indeed (notably since that company did terrible and cartoonish covers for HARD RUSH and CERTAIN JUSTICE)

Yeah it's a brilliant cover actually, simple yet really eye catching. Haha I did a double take too when I was looking along the line of faces, 'ohh there's Dolph...and there's Luke Goss...and there's Dol...what?!'

Producer Chad Verdi:
(take it with a pich of salt)
We expect 'War Pigs' starring Mickey Rourke and Dolph Lundgren to be released in theaters in early October

I'd expect a handful of screens at most really. I wonder how wide Saints and Soldiers was released?

I dunno how but the first one made more than $1 million starting with 26 screens. There's no data for the latest one but it did well apparently:
Go Films announced that due to the success of SAINTS & SOLDIERS: THE VOID’s opening weekend, the film will remain in all its opening weekend theatres and open in additional theatres on Friday, August 29. The film is currently playing in all Megaplex theatres throughout Utah and southern Nevada. On August 29, the film will expand to markets all across the country. Some of the new markets include Denver, Los Angeles, Houston, and Dallas.

Some movies coming out of nowhere do well on regional US markets and seem to be handled better by local distributors (sometimes it's movies funded by the mormons, sometimes it's a movie that speaks to other communauties, like my old teacher who made the movie about the Aztecs, THE OTHER CONQUEST, that did close to $1 million)...

But I'm anticipate WAR PIGS likely won't be given the opportunity...

It's actually better than the Expendables one.

UK certificate 15 for "strong bloody violence, strong language"
http://www.bbfc.co.uk/releases/war-pigs-2015
WAR PIGS is an action drama set in World War Two about a squad of military misfits who are sent on a mission to find out the location of a Nazi super weapon.

VIOLENCE
There are various scenes of strong battle violence, as well as hand-to-hand combat, in which shootings and stabbings result in bloody injury. But there is no real focus on either the detail of the violence or the bloody images.

LANGUAGE
There is strong language ('f**k').
