By "OGF", Bomaz means Nicolas Winding Refn's ONLY GOD FORGIVES (with Ryan Gosling), which has been out in France for a month but hasn't opened yet in most territories...

I believe it's been mentioned before but Eric Roberts, Daryl Hannah, Mickey Rourke, Jeff Fahey and Gary Daniels are beating Dolph to it with a SKIN TRAFFIK directed by UK "do it all" Ara Paiaya, currently shooting in LA...

shit! but anyway, i think this one will be different. here we have the exotic Tony Jaa and hopefully some more known names like M.Dacascos, T.Jane, or Stephen Lang. i guess Dolph will have to find a new title though.

I doubt there'll be other known actors like these.

i guess Dolph will have to find a new title though.

Not nessarily, I don't think these two projects will colide, and Dolph's will be the biggest of the two.

Wow, this is actually really cool. I've been aware of Ara Paiaya for some time now. His no-budget Jackie Chan inspired homemade action movies actually look very convincing, so it's cool to see that his first "real" movie is on a level this big.

However I'm suprised to see Mickey Rourke in the mix, since the rest of the cast would suggest this is a lower budgeted movie, maybe under $1M. Must be a 1-3 day quickie role for Mickey.

I worry as Jaa is making his Hollywood debut in such a big film now that he might think that Skin Trade is too small a project to follow up with. I'd guess at the moment he's not officially signed onto the project, it's more of just a verbal agreement.

We'll see but this doesn't seem to be a big role, D already has a contract with him and a good relationship with his manager so hopefully he won't bail.

I was so sure SkinTrade would be Tony's first Hollywood project. Anyway, this is even better. After (if) Tom Yun Goong has a good business, and A Man Will Rise and FAF7 rihgt after that is kinda Tony's real comeback to the movie business. Dolph after The Ex3. Well, SkinTrade can have a good attention after that. It's only about if SkinTrade itself will be good.

Glad to see that this production is finally rolling... This has been Dolph's pet project for quite some time now. Ideally what I'd like to see (and what I imagine Dolph himself would like) is for him to be behind the camera directing... That way he can personally see his baby develop. Hopefully this project progresses well and stays close to Dolph's initial vision (the sudden addition of Tony Jaa leads me to wonder how much is being rewritten to suit this character and secure financing).

As said, he stepped out from the director's chair notably to focus on his first project as a full on producer and he has full control over the project. So in a way even though he's not directing, the finished film should end up closer to his vision than ICARUS was.

Not that much I was told. The script went through many rewrites and polishes over the years anyway but that's common for any project.

So if Uekrongtham wants a romantic subplot between D and Jaa, he can nix the idea!

Awesome. I really hope he uses a lot of martial arts in this. Something like Showdown 2 would be absolutely fantastic although I suspect that he might prefer something grittier. Funny oneliners may not be appropriate for someone who has lost his family.
