Wow I can't believe this cast! It is almost like Sly has sent a spam email to all cool action guys and 80% of them actually said yes. Eric Roberts was good in The Dark Knight but I'd have preferred Ben Kingsley. He has more class and is obviously different from all the other actors here so far - a nice contrast.

Sandra Bullock? Hm. If it's a tough guy movie I'd prefer Claire Stansfield or a similar tough woman. Wonder why Claire doesn't have anything in her imdb filmography since 2001.

it sounds like damage control to me....it cant help that the day AICN reported this and it started making the rounds...was the same day Arnold announced he was laying off 20,000 state workers because of the California budget mess....advisors prolly told him it wouldnt look good so theyd deny it.....wouldnt be the first time...he filmed "the kid and I' cameo secretly...and Arnies keeping mum on T-salvation cameo...

id bet we'll see him in this...he prolly wont be needed until April/May when California may have a budget by then...but you prolly wont hear about it until hes on set...I mean its 1day! and my guess would be he is playing church...considering AICN says he wont be playing himself...

this just in, California assembly and senate has approved a budget for Arnold to sign. hopefully that means he can be in THE EXPENDABLES now.

looks like start date is March 28th.....supposedly they are filming 4weeks in Brazil(according to various reports on brazilian websites), and then 2 months in louisiana....surprised they are filming 2/3 of the movie in louisiana....

and Arnold is shooting his scene in LA and is playing himself...which is kinda strange...they should make him President Arnold schwarzenegger...as a kind of play on Demolition man

now we just need Kurt Russell to play the role of Church since Arnie turned that down in favor of playing a cameo scene as himself and this movie will be perfect....and maybe a cameo scene from Bruce willis..

There are some rumours that say Arnie is playing HIMSELF and some say that he is playing CHURCH, the man who hires The Expendables. In my opinion Arnie should play CHURCH because if he played HIMSELF then it would turn into a sort of parody..but hey there is nothing wrong with a bit of humour either.
