Hot sh*t! If that becomes the official dvd then I'm SO pre-ordering this baby off of amazon! That looks positively fantastic! I love the pictures on the main Dolph site here; it's just a shame that this film left the spotlight eventually, but was overshadowed by Command Performance, which is, like, my most-anticipated thing this year.

Yeah I know it seems like ages since it started filming, almost a year now. There looks to be some great explosions and tonnes of bad guys getting mowed down judging by the pics. I will probably end up pre-ordering this from amazon.com as well..I did it with Diamond Dogs and The Shepherd so it will probably become a regular thing.

o ya, this baby has explosions galore and a fight in a burning building with flash-in-the-pan bad action/MA-ist Michael Pare! I just hope his acting doesnt continue to screw it's way into this one as well. The guy is completely deadpan in Streets of Fire.

This shot had me completely sold on this movie.

Is the cover that important? What if you have a great cover and a bad movie? Or a poor cover and a great movie? It's Dolph that should be enough!

It's a smaller movie in a way, less ambitious, more of a straightforward B movie and Dolph was just acting in it so he was less involved. None the less I had a similar game plan for a site (preview here!) but I never heard the end of it (not yes or no).

Dolph is like pretty much shooting at me here, I was standing about right in that direction, behind the camera, when this was shot!

Haha!! How does it feel to be shot by Dolph Lundgren? Is that site FOR REAL? I thought it got canned, this is just a preview right, of the way it was meant to look? It's absolutely awesome Jox, as usual!! :D

Well sometimes, like in the old Sofia University building on fire, it really felt like being in a Dolph Lundgren movie, or watching one in real flesh, blood and fire 3D!

As I said I never heard the end of it, so this is just the mock up proposal I did.

That's a pity Jox because it looks like you put a lot of work into it. Sounds awesome!! Imagine seeing the D-man in the flesh shooting the shit out of the extras..haha! University building..I smell Detention 2..

Wow, jox, that site prototype looks fantastic! It's a shame it never quite went all the way through, it's very impressive! I had no idea you were involved in the production of this--that puts you up a notch in my cool book.

Is there a planned release any time soon?

I wasn't involved in the production, I had just got in touch with Dolph for the first time after I interviewed him for this site during the MISSIONARY MAN promotion. When I found out about DC I suggested the idea of doing early promotion and a website or blog and asked if I could visit the set, so I spent a few days there, finally met Dolph in person and everything went from there...

It shouldn't be long before DC is released now, it's supposed to be out in April/May in Germany (no other dates yet).

That is so fantastic! I really seem to live in exactly the right country for a Dolph fan. ;-) Can't wait to see it. Even if it's already totally overshadowed by The Expendables.

My gut tells me North America won't see Direct Contact on DVD till Comand Performance, US3 and The Expendables are released first.

Well, I can only repeat it: Buy a DVD player that's region code free and get the DVDs from around the world. Don't let the industry constrain you, you're not pirating, you're paying for the stuff. Usually the German DVDs have the English audio, too, and if it's Kinowelt it's usually a good quality product. You just have to check if it's a cut version.

Well if I'm not mistaken this will be less of a hassle with Blu-Rays?
Anyway for sure it's not that big a deal getting a multi-region player, I'd be miserable without it.
