The score of JOSHUA TREE is certainly one of the film's strongest assets. It suits the film's desert setting perfectly. How was a small, dtv action title able to acquire such a unique and distinct score? Has the composer gone on to do more notable work since?

Absolutely fantastic and unique score, I was so tripping the first time I saw the film on the big screen with the main theme playing on the beautiful desert title sequence! Also like many fans of the film I dreamt of a soundtrack release...

The composer Joel was none other than the son of the great late Jerry Goldsmith! He's mostly famous for the series STARGATE SG1, he's also done KULL THE CONQUEROR with Kevin Sorbo, Roland Emmerich's MOON 44, MAN'S BEST FRIEND with Lance Henricksen and collaborated with his father on a STAR TREK: FIRST CONTACT. Joel unfortunately passe away earlier this year.

It's too bad Shout! Factory is releasing this. I ordered their They Live Collector's Edition and waited a month for it to arrive. When I asked for an explanation on their site, there was no response. I took to Twitter where they apologized twice but offered no other resolution. In this day and age of Amazon and heightened customer service, it's frustrating to see a company with so much interesting product but such poor business sense.

Dude, I love you man but then just don't order it on their site. You're better than this and have so much more interesting things to talk about!

So they're a releasing company, not an online store that only does selling an shipping (and if it's like other distributors I know who partially do their own online selling then it's only a tiny portion of their business). And all Amazon does is online retailing (and let me tell you their shipping which was once great and now sucks big time, not mentioning the costs). But seriously then what? It's like the cheap/fast/good triangle: you can never get them all at once.

I never even dreamed we'd get a special edition for this film so honestly I don't care, waiting a a few weeks is a small price to get such a spoiling treat... Now please, we're here about the film and there's not much to complain in this case (in others I understand but not here, that's like spitting in caviar) so keep your griefs to yourselves (or do it on the Van Damme forum, not here).

The above video is just the open-matte DVD masked to a vague wide-ratio. Which is NOT the same thing as the correct 2.35:1 ratio.

The image is taken from the German bootleg release BARRETT which is at a 2:20 or 2:10 ratio. The ("totally") open-matte would have given you 1.33 (from Super 35mm). I just found funny the portuguese(?) version kinda funny.

I love you too, Jox but as a fan with over 30 Dolph movies in the collection and a paying consumer, Shout! shouldn't be having problems with the central fanbase with poor service. I/We are the ones that will be buying this and making other casual fans even aware it exists.

I also don't understand the cheap shot at the Van Damme board when you're an active poster there.

Long live the Dolph and Army of One but when you pay for a service you expect a certain level of service provided.

I'm only there by duty, to post and get infos, but it drives me crazy and I don't like it or its members for the most part (hence my break for a couple of years) to be honest.

Sometimes one man is all it takes.

It’s high-caliber action from start to finish when exotic car runner Wellman Santee (Dolph Lundgren – The Expendables) goes gunning for his money and running for his life after his partner is killed during a botched heist. Sensational stunts and spectacular special effects push the action into overdrive as he captures a beautiful hostage (Kristian Alfonso) and takes off across the desert in a high-speed chase.
