I don't know because it also depends on how much they spent on advertising (which seems quite a bit). Also thinking back China is known for its propaganda therefore we don't know if these figures can be trusted (even in occident it's never exactly true because some theaters trick or lie about their numbers so what about China)...

I think the release is big there (and why they co-produced it) because it's sold as a 3D fantasy/monster movie (which sells well there), not because of Scott or Dolph.
