Watched this the other day and even with low expectations I was still bummed by how bad it was. It wasn't quite RETROGRADE-awful but it certainly was lacking in nearly every category. Dolph did his best with what he had to work with, but everything around him was so amateurish that I felt a little bad for him.

Hopefully this was just a quick paycheck for him before he could sink his teeth into MISSIONARY MAN, which I'm almost sure will be of better quality. Thankfully there won't be much of a wait for that one.

Well, the screener was a badly transfered workprint. The official German looks great in terms of colors and picture encoding quality (the graininess is the Super16 look).

The big question is whether or not the matter of the new cut was settled and if Sony will release this version...

According to their site it will feature a making of featurette, not sure if it's the same as on the German DVD (which was rough B-roll behind the scenes footage)...

What worries me is the running time announced of 94 minutes, which is the same as the producers cut...

You know what... screw it. I'm happy this sucker is finally coming our way, even if I already saw a downloaded version! Sure the final fight was a let down, but the entire thing wasn't THAT bad... compared to Agent Red... or The Minion...

First time I looked "DD" in the end of summer with very bad qulity - it was really horrible. But, I looked it again some days ago on TV. It's like heaven and earth. On TV "DD" looks not great, but pretty good and Dolph's character is really fun.
