That's the most exciting news I've heard all morning and I've only been away for an hour and a half!

There's just something about this flick that seems very Michael Mann to me, well, in Mann's recent flicks. It's got a similar look, and style to Public Enemies somewhat. I didn't think that quite worked for a big budget, 30's set gangster flick, but for a neo-noir hitman flick, I think it'll work really well.

The more I see the trailer (and snippets in the BTS interviews), the more excited I'm getting by it. Just hope that the producers don't ruin Dolph's cut, and actually put some effort into the sound design. I definitely prefer film overall, but shooting with the hd cams, really has a distinct look, and with Dolph going very Noir with it, it should like good. I do like how these cameras pick up colour and shadows, in night shoots.

Yes it seems to be going in that direction and even though it was shot by the same director of photography, it's gonna look very different from CP (the movie is totally different anyway obviously).

Now unfortunately Dolph has been fighting against time since the beginning because the movie was pre-sold with a guaranteed delivery date (and filming was delayed several times partly due to UNISOLS) which is why the film should be totally completed by the end of summer or fall.

But I think it will be show Dolph has grown as a director and it's gonna be pretty good!!!

According to IMDB, the music will be composed by James Jandrisch, (TV series Blood Ties, The Guard) who won 2 out of 5 Gemini awards nominations.

Here's an interview with long clips from his scores, sounds very atmospheric, could do something pretty cool for ICARUS...

He's done some really good sounding stuff. Think this'll be a really great choice, and he'll be able to do something a little different. I just hope they don't give him a week or so to do it.

That's the worry (especially since this project has been on really tight deadlines since it started production).

Lundgren’s ‘Icarus’ scored by James Jandrisch

Up and coming composer James Jandrisch (The Delicate Art of Parking, American Venus) is doing the music for Dolph Lundgren’s new action movie, Icarus, scheduled to come out next year. Lundgren directs and stars as a Soviet-trained assassin who decides to escape his double life as a hitman and as a father. Co-starring are Bo Svenson, Stefanie von Pfetten and Samantha Ferris. Cinetel Films produces. James Jandrisch, who has won two Gemini Awards for his television music (in 2002 for Cold Squad and in 2004 for Human Cargo) has also recently scored Bruce Sweeney’s new comedy entitled Excited, which is due to premiere at the Toronto Film Festival this week.

It's too soon, they must be completing the (quick) post-production process right now.
