Tom wrote:Despite the photoshopping it's a pretty awesome cover. Catches the eye in a good way- sells it well. The recent ones for Seagal and Van Damme are still pretty horrible. It does seem like Dolph is getting the most effort put into his stuff. Which is good.

Yeah although it still sucks that it's being released after MM, especially if the cover make it sell... because if people buy it (which is good in a way of course) but are disappointed, they might not come back for the next ones...

I don´t know... I think the trailer was so-so... It kinda made the movie seem even cheaper than it already is. And they got a "low-rent" version of the MoviePreviewsGuy (Don La Fontaine/Hal Douglas) to do the voice work.
And I don´t know how much difference a recut of the movie would do. It´s all close-up, shakey hand-held, TV-style footage anyway.
The flick is not all that bad as it is. It´s just not all that great either.

Well, I think they spread the action out too much, they should have had quiet scenes at the start of the trailer and built up until it got faster and faster and then end with the car exploding, also the voice over guy didn't sound as fierce and deep as is usually used, but an ok trailer, at least it will help with some early promotion!!

Excellent news Jox and very good cover..however I'm not sure I can wait until August the 4th for it to be released in the UK.. So a little poll if you will..TO THE MEMBERS WHO HAVE SEEN DIAMOND DOGS, IS IT WORTH BUYING THE REGION 1 RELEASE OR JUST WAITING?

You should just wait until you can see it in August. There's no need for you to buy the Region 1 disc. I can't imagine ever having an itch to watch it more than once.

Another review from DVD Talk (again not as bad as you'd think, when some better Dolph flicks get bashed)
The featurette seems different from the rough behind the scenes on the German disc, but it's only running 3 mins 30! The DVD comes in some kind of 3D cover...
