US 4 will be shown at the Fantastic Film festival in Germany.

The website also contains an official poster:

Thanks Dida! The supposedly limited release in Germany is a good sign, I really hope they can pull a decent US theatrical release off, I've never been optimistic about a potential DTV movie hitting theatres before. Sure you can pretend that Command Performance had a chance, but being realistic, US4 has the best shot of anything so far. Curiously though, Van Damme is credited first whereas on the last he was credited third.

I think JC gets first credit because of the buzz he's getting from The Expendables 2. He's probably going to have less screen time than Dolph in this. Kind of playing a role like Colonel Kurtz (Brando) in Apocalypse now.

I don't like the poster. Looks boring and cheap to me.

Dolph is in full Missionary Man mode in the poster!

Yeah especially since they combined a promotional shot (and not the best) with a badass still from the film... Really cool though if the movie is premiering at that festival though. 8)

Seems the first screening in Berlin will be August 25 at 11:30pm
http://fff.k-risc.de/screenings/showSch ... 2/cityId:1

Releasing it VOD on the same day totally undermines the movie in theatres and makes it seem like a shitty film. Has the same stigma attached to it as DTV always has.

Indeed, but distribution is evolving and we're going more and more towards a mode of simultaneous multiple platform releases. Happy about the theatrical release and festival premieres however limited it might be...
