Well then maybe the studios should learn and cut that crap. I'm always *very* annoyed when those anti-piracy ads show up on DVDs I've BOUGHT and I've PAID FOR. Why the hell do they put this on there? They must know that, when ripped, these get deleted. So they can be sure that the pirated copies are better than the originals.
I quite agree. I can't think of another industry that treats its legitimate customers as criminals - actual or potential.
Anyway. I received emails saying that my two Thai DVDs have been shipped now. Can't wait!
Let us know when they arrive! (Like you need to be told

PS: Reminds me... have to unlock my DVD player, get rid of that stoooopid region code. *grrrrr*
Believe it or not, the media companies have even persuaded governments on both sides of the Atlantic that shipping DVD players WITHOUT region coding, or allowing people to unlock their DVD region codes, should be made illegal!
But to put a smile on your face. Last month Gordon Brown visited President Obama in Washington. There was the usual exchange of diplomatic presents - Obama got a pen holder carved from the timbers of a British ship that had helped enforce the end of slavery. Brown got - a box set of classic American movies on DVD. (You can see this coming can't you?) On top of being a lame present for a visiting head of government, the White House didn't bother to check the Region codes on the disks. So GB headed back to the GB with Region 1 disks and couldn't work out why they wouldn't play in his R2 player!
