I have learned not to be too optimistic about these things, it's better to be realistic. If Command Performance went completely DTV it would kill all other DTVs released that week. Limited theatre release hmm, it can't be released in art-house theatres because...haha does it look art-house? They should have a special type of cinema for kick-ass movies. But it could play in a big city in 30 screens or whatever, that would be cool. I'm sure that The Expendables will bring better things for Dolph. This isn't the end, it's Dolph's 2nd rise to fame. :)

This Fall, Dolph Will Play Solo.

Twenty Terrorists. One ex-Marine. Nothing to Lose.

This Fall, Dolph Takes Center Stage.

Most terrorists answer to the US Army. Tonight, they'll answer to Lundgren.

When terror strikes, Lundgren will strike back.

All it needs to say is...Dolph Lundgren.

"Dolph will Hawai 5-0 drum solo your ass!"

"Sometimes it takes two, sometimes three, but Dolph likes to do it solo!"

This Joe ain't a plumber, he's a drummer who'll kick your ass!

The ultimate group, the ultimate Performance, the ultimate threat, one ultimate man has to go solo.

Tonight, he's rockin' the house, tonight he's fighting for everyone's life.

This ultimate gig is about to be crashed by terrorists, only the drummer can save it in time for the encore peformance

Are there really big Wesley Snipes fans? I know his DTV films tend to do well (even though they stink) but I always figured that was because he had well over 10 years as a theatrical movie star, not just an action star, but a legit movie star. He certainly has a larger fan base than guys like Dolph and Van Damme but I doubt there are as many "hardcore" fans.

I have to imagine that anybody who enjoys a fun action flick would watch that COMMAND PERFORMANCE footage and instantly want to watch it as soon as it's released. You can tell already that way more effort went into the movie than goes into a typical Snipes or Seagal DTV film where more often than not the star is on auto-pilot.

It's all to Dolph's credit, his vision and his determination to deliver more than run of the mill action pictures.

That's why I hate Dolph being classed as a DTV hero as if he's even in the same league as Seagal and Snipes...he's not and never will be, because even on his non-directorial projects he cares about the quality.
