Yes! Finally saw it! It was getting frustrating because a mate had seen it, and my mum had seen it too- everyone but me. I'll be off in an hour to proudly buy it down at Sainsbury's. I might do a bit of snooping round see what prices there are, what chart positions etc.

Well done mate!

Let me tell you my story!!!!

This morning I had no class first period (I'm in 6th year at High School) so I decided to walk round to the supermarket, I was disappointed to see MM wasn't on the shelves, so I asked a shop assistant and they directed me to a woman over at a desk putting labels on computer games, I asked if the new releases had been put out yet and she said no and asked which one I was looking for..I said Missionary Man and she pulled a BRAND NEW COPY out of a huge box beside her amongst loads of other MM dvds. I was soooo pleased, the first copy, even before it had been put on the shelves and only £9.99 - I'll watch it tonight and let you guys know what I think after a day of anticipation and showing it to everyone including my teachers. Wow! What an awesome day! And it was at position 10 in Woolworths (a HUGGGGE toys and entertainment chain in Britain.)
Oh yes Missionary Man is now in my hands! I proudly marched up to the tills with that one!!!

TV spot is featured on this site, fightfactory, the label in the UK specialising in Van Damme, Seagal and now Dolph's latest releases.
Just go into the site, and MM, including trailer (and Dolphs own endorsement) is there.

Okay, its basically a leaflet with all the other releases on it - FightFactory used to be called Kick Ass Flicks and you'd get a leaflet showing all the recent DTV UK releases and it just shows pictures of the dvd covers and a link to the website.

I really hope that The Mechanik soon gets released on the Fight Factory label. As much as there has been some Sony bashing, and as much as they never bother with any decent extras, what they do garauntee is a good release, good DVD in terms of audio and picture. So hopefully The Mechanik will get a good release too. I think given how wide they've spread Missionary Man, it shouldn't be too long. Maybe Jox could give a nudge to the Sony crew!

So what's with the 15 rating of this site, I'm almost twice as old as 15 and I have to type my birth date each time I wanna check the site out?!

Maybe more than the MPAA, the British ratings always freaked me out... And here we are in France with an uncut 12 (!) rating of "Rambo" and lots of unrated films with nudity (which is okay and normal to us but freak US and UK people out)!

And btw Tom, I'm usually good at finding companies and people's contact infos but I can't even track Sony Pictures UK down! They're ghosts! One dude from the VD forum had their info but just crashed his laptop and I don't really want to have to go through their US colleagues... so if anyone can help....

I've tried to contact them before too, for one reason or another and I had the same problem mate. Sorry

The old problem... MM has a 16 rating in Germany but at least it seems to be uncut. Rambo will be a cut release, 2 minutes shorter than in other countries. The rating will be announced today but I expect it to be FSK 18. So even German adults are not allowed to watch the full version.

But back to MM: Are there any extras on the UK DVD? play.com doesn't tell. According to the OFDB the German version will have deleted scenes and (yawn) the trailer. But I don't want to wait until March 6th...

PS: Hm... maybe MM *will* be cut in Germany... play.com says the UK version has "1 hour and 33 minutes". The OFDB says the Germyn version will play 89 mins but also says "uncut", amazon.de says 86 mins... *sigh*

Maybe I should buy both versions.

The guy who posted it seems to have real issues. I've watched one of his other videos and checked his dialogues. No wonder the voice-over is weird. The guy just has a problem.

According to him (he and his son were extras)
The voice heard is a song names "Indians Indians Indians" from Robert Mirabal. I just put it there, No meaning behind it. I was just seeing if this new program worked to up load videos.

It is a highly requested song on KNON of Dallas.

Finally a review has been posted on Joblo, and overall pretty good.

http://joblo.com/dvdclinic/dvd_review.php?id=1988

I just hate that for a lot of supposedly critics little dialogues means weak script (this is sort of what is implied here).

And to DVD reviewers again: rating the picture/video quality doesn't mean reviewing the cinematography: good cinematography can be butchered by bad DVD transfer, encoding and compression and vice versa! So do real tests! (so here should have been reviewed Sony's and their lab's work)
