Oh guys, you made my day. ;-)

But on a darker side note: Why is it that the fan made cover art always turns out to be way better than the "professional" versions?

People who aren't van damme and Dolph fans are going to laugh at that poster by Sony, it's simply awfull, what kinda amateurs do these companies have working for them, i mean come on, no trailer yet, bad poster and maybe even a worst DVD cover, so fu*&$# cheap assholes.

They surelly don't give a shit about reaching out to people who aren't fans of van damme and Dolph,
as long as the fans keep buying these low budget, cheap dvd covers, they will be happy enough because they know they have made their money.

Let's just hope that Van Damme and John Hyams step up here in the next month and demand a new cover. We've seen this all before; did we really think that Sony would put some effort into a cover?? They love doing the photoshop garbage and never seem to care how the final product turns out... But then again, Van Damme's films The Hard Corps and Until Death were both subjected to horrid covers early on before VD stepped up and demanded new ones. Granted, they weren't much better, but were still a grade above the previous version. January 5th is just a bit over a month away. We could be surprised and get something decent... We can always hope...

Universal Soldier: Regeneration Synopsis
With stolen top-secret technology, terrorists have created a next-generation Universal Soldier - an elite fighter genetically altered into a programmable killing machine. With this "UniSol" (Former UFC Heavyweight Champion Andrei "The Pitbull" Arlovski) leading the way, they seize the crippled Chernobyl nuclear reactor, threatening to unleash a lethal radioactive cloud.

The only one who can stop them is Luc Deveraux (Jean-Claude Van Damme), a UniSol who's been decommissioned for years. Reactivated and retrained, Deveraux must make a full-out assault on the heavily armed fortress. But inside, he'll discover not one, but two of these virtually indestructible warriors. Andrew Scott (Dolph Lundgren), Deveraux's vicious UniSol enemy from the originalUniversal Soldier, has been secretly reanimated and upgraded.

Now these elite fighters are locked, loaded and programmed to kill; and the fate of millions hinges on this high-action showdown.

I don't think he's gonna be in it much at all... But then again, I don't think we're gonna see much of Van Damme either...

We know since the beginning that Dolph is not gonna be in it much, his part was filmed in 5 days and he hasn't got more than 3 or 4 scenes, 5 max (from the stills I've seen) but the main chunk is the confrontation and fight with JCVD.

The fight between JC and Dolph is obviously gonna be the highlight, but US-3 will just seem like an excuse to re-unite them. I keep wishing that it was JC and Dolph in the leads with the UFC fighters and a few people like Michael Ironside, in a role like he played in T4. Guess we'll just have to make do with what we've got, but now that's it's made, I won't pass up the chance to see them fight again. The DOP and direction look solid too, so I'm hopeful I'll really enjoy it.
