Well hail to Dolph then! The fans are always desperate for things like that and I think it is great that we have the opportunity to see this. And that dolphage had the opportunity to play around with it. ;-)

Nice voice, dolphage! You should apply as Don LaFontaine's successor!

Thank you m´lady, it´s amazing what ten years of living as a homeless alcoholic can do for your voice! (Not true! )

Don Lafontaine was the King! He was the Dolph Lundgren of voice over artists! And I´d be glad to take over! Where do I sign up?

This was abolutely hilarious. Dolph NEEDS to see this! I'm going to send him the link on Myspace, it's freakin' cool!

Sorry I'm late on my updates but here's the first part of Barry Evans (karate instructor and fight choreographer) interview!

Interesting that he's been working with the same guy for a while now. By in large I'd say the fight scenes in Lundgren's films have been much better post-DIRECT ACTION than they were in a lot of the films he did pre-DIRECT ACTION this decade.

If Dolph ever worked with isaac florentine, he probably would bring scott adkins along and dolph and adkins could be buddy, buddy good guys, kicking ass, just like in Showdown in Little Tokyo, which is one of my favourite Dolph movies. :D

Great!! What a long and in depth interview. You know I really liked the little fight scene in The Mechanik where Dolph finally throws the guy through a window and into the club. It's fast and well choreographed and edited. But I want to see more!!!! I hate how they don't have enough time to film the whole fights and they have to get cut. I don't want just one or two hits and they are down. I don't really care for realism because the majority of Dolph's movies aren't realistic. The best fights were in Bridge of Dragons. I love 2-4 minute long fights. Not 20 second fights.

I agree. If it´s an action fest than the fights should be over the top. That´s why we watch it. It´s entertainment.

I actually liked the short fights in The Mechanic it's got the feeling of Taken, snap a neck your dead, chop in the throat your dead.
It's always nice to see one or two big fights ofcourse in a movie, like DL and JC in US and Men of War end fight.

I also liked the shotgun Dolph carried around :), but i would like to see something different like a sniper rifle or a huge bass ass machine gun.

Yeah good call, the Men of War fight was one of the best. Dolph did some cool kicks in Direct Action and the martial arts felt very "urban" and cool. I hope that the fight in Command Performance is good!!

MEN OF WAR took two or three months to shoot (and I think the crew was in Thailand for about five months total) so that was the good old days (the one-month shoots started for Dolph around 97-98 I think). As Barry Evans said they did have a little bit more time for the fights in DIRECT ACTION.

Yeah it definately shows in Direct Action that there was more shooting time. I like the way the fights are shot and edited in it. Still, I'm sure DC will bring some quick bouts and I hope that Dolph finally does make a long overdue MA movie!!

Absolutely, those are the best of all his movies. I think I like the MoW fight even better when it comes to actual fighting. But of course Dolph's hilarious way to deliver that lines in US are always a source for great amusement: "It's empteeeh!" and "Should I shoot her in the head? Naaaahhhh... " and "How HIGH?" Love those.

Jox, the stills are great! The last one shows how beautiful his daughter is. And he can even spend more time with her when she's on one of his sets, which is a very nice thing, considering that he's so often away from his family. So maybe we will see her or other familiy members more often. ;)
