It's just cool to hear Ah-nuld say "Dolph Lundgren" as he goes down the list of stars Ex2. He mentions him third after Sly and Van Damme (before Norris) and leaves the rest of them out... nice...

Rumors and hearsay? D told me they were probably going for PG13 during the shoot, Sly's just trying to make up for it just like with the supposedly 'leaked' poster.

Well, it may be a smart move. "Leak" the PG-13 info, check the reaction and reconsider. Cheap market research, although it's also dangerous. People might get the PG-13 info and discard the movie already, then missing the update on the R rating.

Question is what does an R rating means here? Did they use enough blood squibs on set? Or will they add CGI blood? Replace some dialogues? Unless they shot it to have room for an R-rated cut originally, it doesn't necessarily sound good if it's artificially made "R"...

Exactly. I hope they were smart enough to shoot a lot of over the top brutality even if they were going for PG-13. Just in case.

I hope they don't go the Die Hard 4 route and do a post production R rating. It'll be far worse than a pg-13 and just won't gel. I'd guess though that Sly likes to leave things open with multiple takes and allow improvving, so they'll have enough for the R language. However, the squibs thing is a worry. These days though, most action films don't do nearly enough practical effects. So we're gonna get more CG touch ups than we'd like anyway...which sucks!
