Let's take deep breath and speak together: "Hope dies last!" (Hope that translates...)

I think this is great news! Not going for PG-13 anymore! It might not be a true R rated movie (who knows) but it'll beat the sh*t out of a PG13 movie, any day of the week.

This is my fear as well. If they were really planning for a pg-13 rating the whole time, how much buffer room is there for the R rated material? If the studio is just gonna throw in some CG blood and poorly dubbed expletives, I'd just assume them stick with the pg-13 rating. Only time will tell.

Liam Hensworth says he was cast in the first EXPENDABLES but the character was written out, maybe Richard the new gay Expendables that was supposed to come in after Gunnar is fired?

Here Randy couture talks quite a bit about Dolph and he hints EX3 might film in the fall... let's see...

THE EXPENDABLES 3 to start production in the fall? Seems hard to believe. Even if the producers might be thinking it'd be great to start production on the third movie as soon as possible, it's hard to believe they're gonna be able to keep that schedule and it's likely gonna be postponed. Sly started teasing about the sequel during and after the first one came out and then it took a year until they actually started production. I don't see that happening so soon.

Autumn 2012, I think is not realistic. Sly is working on The Tomb.

That's cool, Couture's favorite guy's to hang out with on Ex was Dolph and Crews, plus DL once again gets credit for being "the closest thing" to a fighter among the other Expendables. Nice.

It's not surprising as they're probably the most chill and down to earth guys from the cast and since they all stayed very close to sports in a healthy way that easily gives them something to bond.

Yes but they couldn't know for sure how successful EX1 would be until some time after the premiere. When they started filming Ex2 they know they have a successful franchise so they probably started the preparations for part 3 right away. They guys don't get younger...
