I just read a rumor I had never heard of before that Bono was possibly in talks early on to play Street Preacher, which remains to be confirmed.

But Bono was to provide more songs to the soundtrack...

Either way, real shame that the US butchered it's version and has yet to ever release a version with all the special features seen in Germany or the Japanese cut with extra footage from Takeshi Kitano. There was apparently even a CD-ROM game at the time but it definitely wasn't a hit.
