What is their habit of pronouncing Dolph Lundgrin instead of Dolph Lundgren ?

Believe me I do!

He sleeps, hanging upside down in the DolphCave, one eye open, watching the "Dolph Lundgren" google alert.

Waiting for the Dolphone to ring.

It's a shame Warner haven't put this out in Hi Def... they release any old shit on Blu these days.

They release all kinds of obscure back catalogue action films like Assassin, so I can't see why not...

I personally don't ever see this getting a proper DVD/Blu-Ray re-release. If Warner Bros. didn't include anything extra for the MOTU release, then the standard full-frame of SILT is most likely all we'll ever get. Which is a shame, because there's a select group of fans who would really love a new proper treatment... apparently though in the eyes of WB, not a big enough demand.

What WB should really do is partner with either Shout! Factory or Synapse Films and put out an edition similar to the Red Scorpion and Joshua Tree releases... I imagine Dolph would be game for a new interview. They could even release it in tribute of Brandon Lee and/or The Crow around the anniversary of the film.

It goes with their ABOVE THE LAW-OUT FOR JUSTICE Seagal collection, they'll release it and even if without extras at least in proper widescreen like in Europe (which didn't exist at the time of the shitty 4/3 US edition). It's a catalog title like any other and they put out most of theirs. By the way, unfortunately I found out Synapse got many returns from the RED SCORPION release which isn't good given how much time and money they've devoted to it (probably their biggest project/release)...

I had no idea this was the case... I was under the impression that it was a success from many of the comments and reviews (many of which appeared on these forums). Wasn't the pre-order rate so high that Amazon and Best Buy put the blu-ray on backorder? What happened?

I'm now curious what the sales are like on JOSHUA TREE...

I know, me too... :( But reviews (it was success in that sense yes) never reflect or box-office. The price on Amazon was actually very cheap (like $14) for such an edition ($29 on Synapse's site). The general DVD/BD market is doing very bad anyway, RS had two shitty cheap DVD in the States before, and somehow I wonder if the BD/DVD combo wasn't a turn off, because I realized on Dolph's FB that most people don't even understand that there is a standard DVD disc in a combo... Let's not get the word out too loud, so that it doesn't prevent other special editions from happening!

The first working title was SGT. K. (as in "Sergeant Kenner"), then briefly YAKUZA, then SHOWDOWN IN LITTLE TOKYO.

Not surprisingly, the script had been submitted to Steven Seagal at some point (but he probably wouldn't want to team up with anybody, or would find ridiculous their take on Japanese culture).

Love the synopsis on this Aussie VHS cover, especially the "sales speech" at the end :
