I see that Columbia Tristar's Australian release includes the Body Count music video that JC and Dolph appeared in. A shame that couldn't be included on any of the R2 discs...

However, Optimum are using Studio Canal dvds as reference now, which are generally the french editions of the films. Therefore, Cliffhanger UK is finally uncut and special edition, the first two Rambos have new extras, They Live is now a special edition, and of course Universal Soldier is now the French special edition (without DTS, mind). Other old Momentum titles might be worth checking out too.

Hope this helps!

Thank God for that and thank you for letting me know.Getting the french edition is so hard.Plus they charge me on Amazon.fr with 19 euros!!!!!!!shipping cost (BTW that's the standard shipping method).Yeah you read that right. The guys from Amazon.fr must be nuts.

Rare behind the scenes footage about the stunts for the Hoover Dam and Grand Canyon sequences (Italian dubbed)

My wife always told me about this video. She's crazy about how Dolph looked in this movie(can I blame her?I don't think so.LOL.).
They should have included this video on the SE .But even without it the SE of Unisol is awesome and does have footage about these stunts.I love it and I recommend it to anybody.
P.S.The Hoover Dam stunt is one of the best stunts I've ever seen in an action movie.A little too crazy but..hey..it looks great!

I hated the alternate ending.

That is one of the endings I absolutely hate in a movie.

"Well we need to learn to blah blah blah...."

"We should all work to understand blah blah..." SHUT UP!

The reshot fight is AWESOME and one of the huge points of the movie obviously. I'm shocked JC and Lundgren haven't worked together on more movies --- *cough* *cough* The Expendables would be nice *cough* *cough*

I got my UniSol Collector's Edition with the Van Damme Triple Fight Pack (along with Kickboxer and Replicant - the Special Features for Replicant are pretty cool too!) I bought for $13 at Target about 2 years ago. I noticed they are still the same price when I went to Target a few days ago. The DVD featured everything ---

: : Guns, Genes, and Fighting Machines

: : A Tale of Two Titans

: : DVD Commentary by Emmerich, Devlin, JC, and Dolph

: : Alternate Ending

: : Language prefs and subtitles

Everything is included. I'm so happy I got it!

That's why they changed it after test screenings and even went for re-shoots to make the final showdown longer.

So the fight between Dolph and JC was originally shorter?

You betcha. Even in the commentary the writer and director both said that since the ending wasn't too fitting, they changed it and decided to "punish Dolph some more."

Ya, I hate the original ending. Stupid "maybe we can learn to understand *something* " endings that only belong in cheesey sci-fi poopflicks, not jcvd/lundgren action fests.
