I don't know if anybody noticed but this shot was horizontally flipped
(hint: the chest dragon logo of his 'armor' and the blood stain are reversed)

This is an hand-painted movie poster painted by a talented artist in Ghana. The artist is a leader in African film poster paintings and has many of his works published in the book "Extreme Canvas: hand painted movie posters from Ghana."

This MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE painting was used to advertise a mobile film screening in Ghana. The painting is signed by the artist. The painting is oil on canvas. Size is 1.5 meters x 1 meter. This is authentic, real oil painting-- not a print!

Very detailed painting and in excellent condition.

This is from the description of the book about the hand painted movie posters in Ghana.
"In the 1980s a group of entrepreneurs in Ghana created small-scale, mobile film-distribution empires, hitting the road with videocassettes, television monitors, portable gas-powered generators and rolled-up, hand-painted, artist-signed canvas posters. This new medium created the first opportunity for some of the best young painters in Ghana to express themselves on a public scale. In the frequent absence of an original image upon which to base the work they had been commissioned to produce, the artists inevitably created cinematic paintings that were largely interpretive and imagination-driven."

Another Ghana poster, it's yours for $2500

Author Brian Baer discusses the book, more likely to come out in April:

So what exactly do you cover in the book? Do you talk about the mini-comics that came with the characters?

The book covers the toys, the mini comics, a bit on the comic books, the various cartoons and other series which never quite made it to air, along with some stuff about the newspaper comic strips, video games, and the various other tie-ins. A good chunk is about the ’87 movie, which has a very troubled but fascinating production. I tried to cover as much as I could, since the book is really about how He-Man and the Masters of the Universe shaped how current franchises operate.

I cover the mini comics and even give breakdowns of a few stories. The mini comics were pivotal in how the characters and the world of Eternia developed. Plus, some really talented creators (like DC Comics’ Bruce Timm!) worked on them.

Meanwhile, the guys of the new POWER OF GRAYSKULL documentary gave an update :

A video intro from Robert Duncan McNeill sent to the outdoor Bristol screening a couple years ago:

Trivia:
Found out that Gwynne Gilford (daughter of the late actress Anne Gwynne), who played Julie/Courteney Cox's mother, is actually Chris Pine's mom in real life. MOTU was her last acting credit, she's a psychotherapist now.
