Courteney Cox famously got her career launch a Brian De Palma-directed Bruce Springsteen music video ("Dancing in the Dark") and now she's directed one herself (for artist Brandi Carlile)

French radio show (in... french, obviously). Should be interesting, but I haven't had time to listen to it yet.

It's nice to hear they did an episode on MOTU, but there's nothing there we don't know, it's more for old fans who haven't been in the loop regarding MOTU...

As you say, interesting, though nothing much new here.

I guess that this has been occasioned by the Netflix/Kevin Smith animation Masters of the Universe Revelation.

If anyone was thinking of following this recent offering up then don't bother - it's APPALLINGLY bad!!! Absolutely dreadful in every way - apart from the artwork, which is quite good - but let down by jaw-droppingly inept plotting, characterisation and outright twisted narrative intent. The reaction of outraged fans is - in my view - wholly justified. It's earned itself the nickname 'Devastation' and an overwhelmingly negative reaction - apart from a handful of critics who were very much on message with its essentially feminist and anti-heroic message. It has all the charm and charisma of modern politicised Hollywood (ie none) and is - at best - a completely wasted opportunity for the property.

However, it's an ill wind that blows no-one any good - as the saying is: one widespread reaction is that this illiterate disaster has made a great many people re-evaluate the 1987 film in a much more positive light.

As one reviewer put it: "Having seen Smith's handling of MOTU, I now appreciate the Goddard movie more than ever before and am glad that something positive has come out of this debacle. Come back, He-Man Dolph Lundgren - all is forgiven!" :D

Although I agree to disagree, I would prefer if we steer clear from the heated "discussions" over MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE: REVELATION part 1 on this forum...

Seems like the late Geoffrey Holder (Bond villain in TO LIVE AND LET DIE) was once considered for Skeletor although Langella was the top choice.
