In the "Off-Topic" section there is an entire thread devoted to the numerous iterations of the project in the last 18 years, I posted Mattel’s press release there. ;)

10 years after it was made, a couple of festival screenings and some debacles to be able to release it, Corey Landis and Roger Lay Jr.'s documentary TOY MASTERS is finally available to buy and to rent! 8)

It was so good to finally be able to watch the film, and feel even more sorry they weren't able to give it a proper release before...

I must applaud Corey Landis and Roger Lay Jr., I had listened to the podcast version, but of course watching the actual documentary was a completely different and more fulfilling experience.

It’s a really good documentary, and they were the first (before “Power of Grayskull” or “The Toys that Made Us” episode).

I’m also impressed by their attitude and communication skills when it comes to address contradictions or controversial issues, notably while interviewing Roger Sweet. I’ve done many interviews (though most of them were audio) and I don’t know how would I have handled it myself.

Highly recommended and they need all the support they can get after all the trouble they went through.
