Oh boy... =)
I'd simply be pleased by having the all the uncut movies starring Dolph... all the rest is a question to my PC. ^^
It's my unique and most portable gadget I have. Watching movies, programming my own games and even playing Nintendo is no problem. lol
Anyway, do you know when this new format is going to be importable to Europe/Germany? If it's the uncut movie I'd not hold back from buying it.
In hope for someone who could replace the real Dolph one day if he's (hopefully not as soon) out of business...

Hilarious Red Scorpion clip

Postby Mosquito on 25 Jan 2006, 23:40

I just got this link to a quicktime "trailer" for Red Scorpion. I had the impression that there are even some deleted scenes!

it is pretty hilarious, I don't think there's any deleted scenes though, everything is genuine.

Now with this Abromoff story, medias are digging into the Red Scorpion controversy again...

Sounds like Dolph was a party animal back in the 80's. Just like all the other action stars then.

Just received RED SCORPION from the United Kingdom (Optimum Home Entertainment) R2 release.

The main site mention that the UK release had additional scenes, I notice no new scenes while watching the film, and it was the same R-Rated cut as the US release with the missing "burning of the village with the flame throwers" scene.

I notice that the transfer was mastered from a NTSC print and transfered to PAL (film time was the same as my Korean -NTSC release). The UK had additional 29 seconds of black screen after credits. The release only had the theatrical trailer and 3 preview trailers for extras.

I looked at IMDB: Alternate Versions and the info indicated that the Japanese release included 5 minutes of footage! Does anybody know if the DVD release includes the same footage or if this is true?

I don't have the Japanese version but from my understanding, this just would be the only uncut DVD version so far, the running time of 106 minutes (NTSC) indicated on the cover would be the theatrical one... they still sell it on CDJpan but it's obviously pretty expensive for western standards... I really wish someone would release it widescreen and uncut... http://www.cdjapan.co.jp/detailview.html?KEY=PAND-1058

Thanks again Jox :D .

Two releases will do me for the moment! Unless it was widescreen , then I wouldn't mine buying a 3rd copy.

I watched my Korean disc the day before and then watched the UK release and was hoping for additional/alternate scenes, but I was really looking for the "Flame thrower" scene , when I notice it had a longer time when I started the movie I really got my hopes up :o.

Off the record, what release have you got?
