Yeah, Sly said: "He (Dolph) gets it on with Jet Li", when the reporter told him how excited he was that Dolph was on board.

It would definately be an easy thing for Sly to make DL a russian merc who turns out to be a baddie. Hope he goes for something more original though.

Nah you've got something there mate, one of the team could be the bad guy, but the audience has no idea who is the traitor..could it be Stallone? Dolph? Li? Statham? Damn, now if your idea isn't in the movie, I'll be disappointed..

I didn't hear the Jet Li vs Dolph thing at first, now it's plausible Jet will be the villain, he's been quite strong in War, The One and Mummy 3 as a baddie.

War had a good ending, won't spoil it, but check it out guys... :)

This could be Dolph's best fight since..Unisol? I actually would LOVE to see Dolph turn traitor at the end, I can't wait to see his look in the movie...I see Missionary Man meets Command Performance with a chain of bullets round his chest. :)

Would they really let Dolph and Jet Li fight? There's quite a height difference - it may look weird.

No worries Dolph will fight Jet on his knees.

Dolph confirmed to me his participation to the project, but doesn't know when it'll happen yet, not before March or April at least...

Not really, the project has a release sketched in for 2010.

It's a big project they can't just do it like that. The latest RAMBO took some time before they really started production...

Robert Knepper (Teabag in Prison Break, and bad guy in Transporter 3) has signed up for The Expendables. I watch T3 last night and was thinking he'd be a good addition to the cast, and hey presto, he's announced this morning.

Incidentally, Transporter 3 was pretty bad, but entertainingly bad. It wasn't supposed to be so funny but some of the dialogue scenes in the film are so unintentionally funny. The editing was horrible. There's some good action in the first half of the film, some decent fights, and a quality chase with Statham on a trick bike, but the last few action scenes are overdone, including a car chase in fast forward (all it's lacking is Benny Hill music), and a rubbish final action scene. Knepper however was the best bad guy in the whole series. He just made the villain interesting, unpredictable and he was clearly a little bit "method" with it.

Still Statham may not be a very good actor, but he's got that stoney faced badass look down well. He's seriously cut in the film too. Also not quite sure why, but for most of the movie Statham just falls into his English accent. Sure his American accent from the first two is horrible, but he just forgot in this one, also in part to being given a lot more dialogue (and some horrendous dialogue at that). It's still watchable for some good fights and laughs, but it's by far the worst in the series, and lacks a lot of the fun and imagination of the first two.

Is that confirmed yet?? Because it would be awesome. Been a fan of Robert Knepper since first watching 'Prison Break'.
