I might have to check the British Direct Action to see what features you get. I got the Russian DVD and all you get is trailers for other films. January is a good month to be a British Dolph fan! Excellente! While most of us who have seen it werent all that impressed with Detention, most have agreed Direct Action was enjoyable.

The DVD doesn't have any features, or 5.1. It has subtitles and multiple language features. The best part of the DVD is a langauge selection when you load it up, on this option screen the background is the manga styled cartoon of the Dark Angel.

The picture quality is okay. It hasn't really been remastered or anyhting it's just a straight converisian to DVD. The picture is still smoother and sharper than VHS. The sound is not too bad either. The DVD was reviewed in a british magazine and got 3/5 for both picture and sound.

R2 Japan DVD?

Postby BrunnenMatt on 07 Jul 2005, 03:54

Just ordered the R2 Japan disc and should receive it at the end of September, waiting on another DVD release to save on shipping, and wanted to know if anybody has this and what is the verdict?

The only difference I could see is the inclusion of the 'Theatrical Trailer' with all other 'MGM' releases having no extras, and a better cover. All 'MGM' releases have 1.85:1 Anamorphic transfer and English Dolby Digital 2.0 Surround.

The R4 'Shock' also has the trailer but has a 4:3 transfer.

Does anyone have a downloadable copy of I come in peace's trailer? Video detective won't work on my computer for some reason...
