I hope the other half was as enjoyable!

Yes, Lambert would have definitely been odd, unless he managed to "pull off a Michael Keaton", tapped into his dark side, and surprised everyone.

I think it was producer/re-writer Robert Kamen who for some reason (other than this was soon after HIGHLANDER so Lambert was a big name) set his eyes on the French actor...

I myself always thought that Lambert and Jane looked strikingly similar.

What's for sure is that the Netflix series skyrocketed the original screen PUNISHER on IMDB's Moviemeter popularity.

I've been invited to present a 35 mm screening of THE PUNISHER (followed by DEAD HEAT) at the closing night of the French Festival des Maudits Films ("cursed films" - in Grenoble) on January 27 8)

Reminder FYI:
this Australian edition carry the most extras, for a fully HD-restored version of the uncut version with no SD inserts, the latest German edition is the one to get (Steelbook or Amaray case)...
