The Punisher: The Untold Story of an 80's Cult Classic.

Just some random things I noticed from watching the movie again.

In the opening scene right before the goon gets kicked over the railing, I swear there's a skull on the post of the bannister.

In the restaurant scene, notice the swastika motif on the floor. I'm sure they're meant to be Buddhist swastikas, the Japanese word is "manji," but still something worth mentioning.

Right after Mr. P drops Shake off at the fun house, it looks like camera equipment is reflected on the motorcycle. It's kinda hard to see with my sucky screencaps, but who doesn't love a continuity error every now and then?

30 years ago at the defunct MIFED (Milan Film Market) of 1988, a double-page advert in Variety for the distribution pre-sales of THE PUNISHER, while filming was about to wrap at the end of that month. (personal collection)

Ticket stub from yours truly, October 26, 1989, plus newspaper advert including contest to win a Harley Davidson that turned to be fake because the distributor never found a chopper they could afford...

Book Update

The book gets bigger and bigger, and needs a thorough attention before final completion of the manuscript... I can now say with confidence that rarely a B action film received such a comprehensive history.
2019 for the 30th Anniversary !

First images of Dolph Lundgren as THE PUNISHER were unveiled 30 years ago by cult French mag STARFIX in their November 1988 issue including art from Mike Zeck's exclusive limited portfolio printed by Déesse editions (Paris)
